He thought he'd done his research well. He knew the location where the jewel would be kept. He knew the history behind the jewel and how a king had it made for his secret lover to represent the extent of his love for her. The jewel was one part of a pair of earrings, one for each of them.

He knew all that. He just didn't know that this jewel, this earring, would be bigger than his hand.

How in the world could anyone wear that on their ears? Their earlobes would get stretched all the way to the floor!

*attempts to think about it* Nope, it'd still reach the floor. XD Since it's to represent love, it's not supposed to be worn? If the lover and the king wore the earring and people noticed they matched... it wouldn't be secret anymore.

XDDD;;; It is huge for an earring... I had the hardest time trying to think of something that would be considered huge if it were larger than someone's hand. A normal jewel wouldn't necessarily be considered huge even if it were bigger than someone's hand, but an earring... XDD

LOL! Right, I don't think it would be very smart to wear it and openly declare their love. XDD

I was going to describe the jewel's colors and all its intricacies, but I gave up on that. XDDD

My first idea for this theme was a spider. A huge spider, bigger than someone's hand...
