Answering
jen_kat's questions~.
Leave me a comment saying "rainbow".
I'll respond by asking you five questions so I can get to know you better.
Update your journal with the answers to the questions.
Include this explanation in the post and offer to ask other people questions.
1. What's the toughest costume you've had to make?
I've only made 4 outfits from scratch--Kirihara, Soren, Tadase, and Elraine.
gem2niki's mom made all the others that look way better (Riku from DNAngel, Miranda, Eureka...haha, these are all girls). Looks like I tend to cosplay guys more when I'm not cosplaying with
gem2niki.
Costumes I attempt are never too hard. XD; Oh right, I also made Ike for my brother. That was tough because he wasn't available to try it on! I also could not figure out how to make a cape. =/ And there were so many different parts to it.
Other than that, it's not making the costume that's hard, but rather getting a wig to go along with it...
2. How did you meet
yoshikochan?
At AX during the Tenipuri gathering! I was cosplaying as Echizen Ryoma and had a sore throat, so I didn't talk much. She was advertising her Tenipuri DSP site. Met her again the following year when I cosplayed Kirihara. :)
3. You teach, right? (Or work relating to teaching) What made you decide to go that path?
I've given various answers to this question before, but it all comes down to liking to learn. I hope to inspire that in other people too, though at the moment, my abilities as a teacher aren't at a place where I feel I can do that well enough yet. I was very inspired by my elementary school teachers. But what made me decide in the end was because I had a role model who opened the path for me and made me think it was possible.
4. How much space does your fishbone collection take up?
It's all over the place, so I can't really say. I hang fishbone necklaces and other things (that can be hung) on a small section of my wall. All the items are generally small, like rings and earrings, so they don't take up that much room. I do have over 50 fishbone items scattered all over the place though. :3
I'm such a disorganized person. *sigh*
5. What's the weirdest food that you've eaten that you consider normal to eat, but that others get weirded out by?
Hm, I can't think of something off the top of my head. Something I consider normal but other people might be weirded out by...that's difficult. I feel like I eat very normal food. XD;; Maybe...steamed egg? Or century egg? Or tea egg. I like eggs. XD;
I have not been getting a lot of my LJ notifications today. I wonder if it's my internet (...my router burned out) or if it's LJ.
Also, flist, if any of you like Prince of Tennis, join us over at
twistserve_tcg with our 2009 advent calendar. XD; Lots of Tenipuri love going around all the way up to Christmas!
