+Anima
Got myself a tablet. Tried it out by reading all of +Anima on it (that felt awesome). At first, I wasn't able to get into the series since things felt like they happened very quickly, but then I fell in love with Senri. I'm glad he had a lot of scenes! I loved his scenes so much! He's not very talkative, a bit absentminded, doesn't have his memories, can't make new memories, older than the rest but appears very young at times, is very protective, and greatly reminded me of my own OC, Rykatu, ahahahaha, but I think maybe I just like characters like that which is why I wrote such a character in the first place....
Cooro -> I wasn't too attached to him and didn't have him quite figured out even by the end. I wish his story was explored more... we didn't learn about him until the very end. Felt rushed! But his story made me go D: for him.
Husky -> Second favorite character! Loved his past and how he confronted it. He was very pretty as the mermaid princess. XD; He and Nana moved the story along a lot. I thought it was funny whenever he showed his fish tail though. Must be inconvenient on land. He couldn't swim before but is now a fish +anima... that was one of the parts that made me choke a little.
Senri -> I already fangirled over him above. XD;; Loved him and his book, oh gosh! He'd go around putting flowers and other little things in his book to remind himself of memories he'd soon forget. ;__; He was so cute. We actually got to meet his tribe (who lives with +Anima... does that mean they don't lose their +Anima even as an adult?) and also the person who gave him the book (Crstala). I was very happy that he got a lot of backstory.
Nana -> I didn't think she'd be joining the crew when she first showed up, but I think the group certainly needed someone like her when Senri's so absentminded and Cooro's always so mysterious. She and Husky bicker so well. XD; She also demonstrated anxiety for being +Anima... which none of the boys really showed all that much.
Loved the Sairando arc. Wished they stayed there longer!
Nanaco Robin
Shoujo series by the mangaka of Lovely Complex! I haven't actually read all of Love Com, but I do own all of the manga... Nanaco Robin is a shorter series. Only 3 volumes. It has great humor just like Love Com, and I found all the characters likable. Really liked both Konatsu and Nako. Since the series is short, there wasn't any dragging going on with the relationship either. I liked that. Though I would have liked to see more too. XD;
X-Men: First Class
Went to watch this yesterday! I loved it lots! I don't actually know a thing about X-Men, but this movie was good (and I wasn't lost with it, so they sure did a good job for new viewers). I liked how things came together and how much we got to see of Charles and Erik, and boy did I like the relationship they had with each other. So much trust. <3 Charles Francis Xaxier was my favorite and I just loved how he interacted with almost everyone. Telepathic, idealistic, smart, friendly... I was probably grinning whenever he was on screen, and he was pretty much on screen most of the time. XD;
Oh look, maybe I should add a movie tag... I don't actually have one!

Date: 2011-06-07 07:22 am (UTC)I don't think I further than meeting the first two characters and they hadn't left the circus so I didn't get very far. XD

Date: 2011-06-07 07:35 am (UTC)Oh, that's just at the beginning then. XD; The beginning seemed pretty abrupt. It got more interesting! Or well, I was super interested after Senri was introduced. He's introduced pretty early on too.
I kind of want to rewatch it, ahhhh. There were so many parts in the movie that I loved! Maybe I'll watch some... trailers. Or read more plot summaries. XD;

Date: 2011-06-08 07:52 pm (UTC)The very beginning. I...have already finished reading it. XDD;; SENRI! omg! So adorable!! So protective! Eeeeeeee! ♥~~ But the ending does seem a little...sudden. There needs to be more exploration of that! D:
Heeeee! :D

Date: 2011-06-09 05:50 am (UTC)Oh! You finished reading it! XD; Probably around how long I took. I read it in one day, hahaha. Senri is adorable isn't he? I reread some of it yesterday to see what I made of the beginning parts after rereading since I didn't take as much notice of Senri as before. Now I'm squeeing in all of his scenes. XD; The ending was kind of abrupt! D: I thought Cooro would have gotten more time spent on his backstory than that...

Date: 2011-06-09 12:47 pm (UTC)dskfjasld Senri is SO adorable. And because I'd read your comments I flailed every time he picked up a flower and stuck it in his book. ♥
D: His backstory wasn't explained very well. Or in much detail.

Date: 2011-06-13 02:59 am (UTC)And now you've seen that I even changed my header to Senri, haha. XD; I checked ffnet and saw that there's a good number of +Anima fics. Wonder if there are any good ones about Senri. :3
Yeah...Cooro's the main character! He should have more backstory than that. =x Fly wasn't all that much of a villain in the end...

Date: 2011-07-05 09:28 am (UTC)I'm pretty sure his tribe doesn't lose +Anima when they "grow up" and are "safe" - in fact, I think I remember it stating explicitly somewhere near the end that he would be able to keep his. Makes sense since his father had his still. I think people his tribe, unlike other people, don't *usually* acquire +Anima by being under duress (or at least, that's not the only way)?
And I somehow always forget to check fanfiction for manga that I read, even though I tend to read more than I watch anime lol. Thanks for the reminder!

Date: 2011-07-07 01:55 am (UTC)Yes, it seems like that's the way things work, that his tribe doesn't lose their +Anima. I find that pretty fascinating, since it seems like for others, people generally lose them when they become adults or when they have no more use for their +Anima. I wonder what makes it so that Senri's tribe is able to keep their +Anima... I suppose it's part of their culture and identity? Hm~.
It's one of the first things I do... checking for fanfic after I get into a series! I suppose I just feel I need more of the series most of the time. XD;
